The Rana Plaza tragedy in Bangladesh was a heart-breaking wake-up call. A solemn reminder that choices we make every day in the products we buy, affect others, we too are accountable, however, we too can bring about much needed change.
In the subsequent days during the aftermath of this disastrous event, and the ever-growing death toll, there was a call to consumers appealing to them to support Fairtrade as a way to develop better working conditions throughout the supply chain. From this call a seed was planted and it is about ready to bloom in the form of Fashion Revolution Day, the first of which will be on April 24 2014.
On April 24 you can show your support by wearing your clothes inside out, taking a #selfie and sharing the image on social media with hashtags #insideout, #whomadeyourclothes and #fashionrevolutionday.
